ABOUT EDLIN / KNOW THY PATH

I’m Edlin.

I’m drawn to the big questions—and to what happens when we let them change the way we live.

04 / ABOUT EDLIN

Writer. Speaker.
Mentor.

I’m a writer, speaker, singer, lecturer and mentor, and the person behind Edlin Wayfinder.

A feeling of destiny helped set me on this path: the sense that certain possibilities call to us, sometimes with the familiarity of something remembered. As though we have recognised a part of ourselves that has been waiting for expression.

I’m interested in what happens when we attend to that feeling. What might we feel destined to become? How do we recognise a direction that feels our own? And what part do our choices play in bringing it into being?

People understand calling in different ways—through faith, spiritual traditions, psychology, personal experience, or a possibility they choose to create. I want to make room for those conversations while exploring what we can learn from the experience itself.

That curiosity draws me towards phenomenology and its attention to lived experience, alongside ideas of recollection and tacit knowing. These give me ways to explore the relationship between what we sense inwardly, what we can put into words, and what we discover through action.

Creation is central to that inquiry. A book, a piece of art, a business or a different way of living can give something inward a form—and reveal more of who we are in the process.

Through my writing, learning resources and one-to-one mentoring, I help people explore their direction, find clarity and give meaningful ideas expression.

THOUGHT INTO PRACTICE

Inquiry.
And action.

My work brings inquiry into conversation with action.

I’m interested in the feeling of calling: what we recognise inwardly, what we feel destined to become, and how we choose to respond. I’m also interested in the practical work that follows—finding a structure, making decisions, developing resilience and continuing when the first excitement meets difficulty.

That is where my experience as a lecturer and mentor comes in. Alongside exploring identity and becoming, I help people develop books and creative projects, shape personal brands and service offers, and make progress on work that matters to them.

Sometimes our conversation begins with “Who am I becoming?” Sometimes it begins with “How do I get this thing moving?”

I also lecture in research methods, entrepreneurship, innovation and creativity, and hold an MSc in Psychology. Teaching, music, performance and making things all feed the questions I bring here.

I like a big question. I also care about helping someone work out what to do next.
